I'm wowed, I'm definitely going to need more. Dahl wrote more than 60 short stories and they have appeared in numerous collections, some only being published in book form after his death. I have no clue when we will be able to reopen as the inside is destroyed. The story is about the young successful businessman man, Billy Weaver, who went to the small city called Bath to do his job. Both these characters are important as they are not the pleasant personas they appear to be and are in fact ruthless murderers. Bath was an unfamiliar place to Billy so he was unsure of the area. This relates back to as why Bath was a splendid city.
The use of irony also shows us this when she says 'I. Then comes along the landlady. What actually happens is left very much up to the reader, but Roald Dahl, the master of this kind of story, gives us all the clues we need to concoct a grisly ending. I found the plot to be very curious, which kept me intrigued. He founds to remember them in the headlines of newspaper for missing persons. The reader after all is only given a glimpse of one page of the guest book.
Constantly overshadowing her clues to Billy, yet Billy still has a optimistic mind of a 7 year old with polite manners. He plans to stay at pub overnight, until he comes across a sign luring him into a cheap place to stay. Irony enables us to see what the officers must be thinking, and understand how they are completely right about the murder weapon being under their noses, however they have no idea how on track they are. Billy Weaver is a naive, curious and polite gentleman. I came to the conclusion that he would of recognised them from being on the news, when she would have previously killed them.
